If the ROM sees the identifier at $4008007, and bit 1 0 of $4008006 is 1, it will DMA the ROM uses DMA to copy 8 KB from $4008000 to $8000 and execute executes a JMP $8000. This will execute executes the coldStart routine of the cartridge and everything else is up to the cartridge.
