Connection Settings

Lets you configure or check your current connection settings:

The LAN connection doesn’t need any configuration. When there is a valid and active LAN connection to the MEGA65 you will see its MAC address next to LAN Port. You can also press the button Autodetect LAN Port but M65Connect checks permanently the LAN presence.

The USB Port list allows you to select the correct USB (JTAG) port. If you are unsure which port is the right one you can start the Connection Wizard with button Autodetect USB Port. Save the USB Port list settings with the Save button.

Access: Menu Settings > Connections

Console Settings

Here you define the visual appearance and behaviour of the Console window:

Show output of MEGA65 commands in Console: Will print your entered commands in Terminal mode. This is usually not necessary as the MEGA65 returns the entered command that will be printed as well.

The Reset button will replace all changes by default settings.

File Path Settings

Set all key paths here:

The Default path is used in any file related dialog window and also shown in the left window of the SD Card Manager (if set). If you head to another location within a dialog window and select, load or save a file this will be (temporarily) the new default path. On next restart of M65Connect the set Default path is used again.

Path PRG Autoload defines the location from where new or changed PRG files should be automatically loaded. It’s used in File > Start/Stop PRG Autoload

Path Vivado is displayed only in Windows:

If…

  • you use the USB/JTAG connection and…

  • have Vivado or Vivado Lab installed and…

  • want to use it for faster Bitstream transfer...

then set the path to vivado.bat or vivado_lab.bat. The default transfer for Bitstream files will then be processed with Vivado (and no more with xc3sprog).
